In this SSRS tutorial I will cover SSRS action go to report option that allows us to "jump" to the same or different report by clicking a cell and passing parameters.
In this particular example I will show you how to do configure SSRS action and go to the same report and passing parameters based on the item we clicked. This method will allow us to filter the report without having to use parameters at the top but instead we can click an item on the report to achieve the same result much easier and in a much more intuitive way.
To Apply action right click on the cell you want to filter report by and properties window should be displayed on the Properties box.
Action option should be displayed as a first one at the top.
Once you see action pleas lick on “…” to open Text Box Properties.
In the Text Box Properties window Pleas Select Action tab and into the
Change action option select Go to report and Specify a report.
Add all parameters which you have on your report.
To set up Parameter in a Value click on Expression button and new window should be appear.
Select Parameters from Category and double click on name of parameters from Value list.
Hope that helps
