This is our first monthly newsletter and we have some really exciting news.
We added header with our photos :)
We added footer with our profiles and you can now follow us easily.
We added twitter timeline to the sidebar (real time news).
We added SQL Server versions below header (hardcoded for now ;p but >95% accurate)
We added Download PDF option so you can save lesson offline and print it out.
Fixed several issues on our website (thanks for letting us know!)
Donations can now be made in your local currency USD, GBP, EUR and INR.
And few other things we don’t remember anymore ;)
Who supported our efforts?
We would like to say big thank you to Roger and Swan for supporting us with a donation in February. That really made our day when we received your support, and makes such a big emotional difference in our heads, it feels so good knowing you support us.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank for donations we received previously from Vincent, Swati, Roel, Lakshmi, Kusum, Feng, Mrs M, Robert and Anthony.
Thank you for everyone who also contributed by sharing our website on social networks, providing links on forums and blogs, and recommending us to others. We don’t know who you are and what you did, but we know you are helping us out and we would like thank for that?
How can you make our lessons more useful?
There is one project we really want to do, that would make such a difference and we need your help!
We would like to have subtitles in our videos in different languages, as English is not our first language and it’s so much easier to follow the video with subtitles, and fantastic for people who learn English and would like to have a translation in their native language.
Just imagine how much of a difference that would make to so many people around the world?
YouTube provides a great feature called “Contribute subtitles” and we hope it would take less than 1 hour to do one of our short videos. We will start with doing the first video ourselves and doing a guide and a video how to do it. If you have an 1 hour to spare, and want to help us, please contact me.
We hope you have enjoyed our first monthly newsletter :)
