In this Excel Tutorial I will show you how to use Sum Function using Excel 2010.
For purpose of this tutorial I use Packing slip Template.
Sum Function allows us to sum range of values.
In my Invoice below, I would like to Sum the Price column. To do this I go to formula bar - type equal and Sum.
Next I open parenthesis - select cells with values and place comma between them. Then close parenthesis and click ENTER.
I will show another way to use Sum Function. At the beginning I make the same step like in previous example. I go to formula bar and select Sum. The different between previous example is that now I will range all values - picture below.
Result are exactly the same like in previous way.
Next I will go to Formula bar and click Insert Function where I will select Math & Trig Function.
Next I just scroll down and select Sum.
Now, I will select the Number1 with values.
To Function Argument I select the range. My results are exactly the same like in previous.
