In this Excel Tutorial I will show you how to use Right Function in Excel 2010.
For purpose of this Tutorial I will use packing slip template.
Right Function returnees the characters from right side of the value. I will show base on the example.
I type equal and Right function. Next I open parenthesis and select the value - in my case it will be Katie Glownia.
I would like to returnee seven character from right. To do this I place comma and seven (7). I close parenthesis.
Right Function returnees me my surname.
You can find Right Function if you go to Formulas tab, go to Text functions and from the list select Right.
I get a new window Function Arguments. In text my argument will be the full name - I select this.
Characters I want to returnees will be seven (7). Click OK and the result will be exactly the same like in previous example.
I will show you what will happen if I will add space. Right Function returnees my seven (7) characters including space.
