In this Excel Tutorial I will show you how to use Max Function using Excel 2010.
Max Function is looking for the highest value on the range. For purpose of this tutorial I will use Packing slip Template.
Picture below show my Invoice. In this example I will try to find the most expensive flowers.
To do that I replace equal in the formula bar and I type Max.
Next I will open the parenthesis. In the parenthesis I will select range. In my case it will be Price column like you can see at the picture below.
When I select the range i close my parenthesis and I click Enter.
Max function show me 150 and this is the price for roses.
I will show you the other way to use Max Function. I will go to Formulas Tab and select Insert Function.
Next it show me a table where I will select from the drop down box or select a category - Statistical Function.
I will scroll down to find a function and select Max Function.
Next I will select the range like we can see at the picture below.
In my case it will be a Price column - I select this.
Next I just click Ok and my results are the same like in previous example.
There is one more location where you can find Max Function.
I will go to More Function option and select statistical to find Max function I will scroll down and select the right one.
