In SSIS 2012 when using Project Configuration/Deployment Model we need to create SSIS Catalog and there is a check box that I must admit I didn't understand and says
enable automatic execution of integration services stored procedure at sql server startup
Rather cryptic message so I did some quick research on Google and found Matt Masson blog post http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mattm/archive/2011/07/20/managing-ssis-projects-through-ssms.aspx that says if we select the check box then:
"an SSIS cleanup job will be executed each time the server instance is restarted. This cleanup job will fix the status of any packages that were running at the time the instance went down."
One of the questions is comment is what will the status be changed to? and most likely it will be failed unless there is a special status? If anyone knows the answer please let me know :)
It seems it is worth checking the box so I will personally do that.
