Having a successful CV is important (For more info visit How to measure CV success), but how to do that?
One of the best ways to learn is from real life examples, and I will be sharing my real life BI Consultant / Developer CV (no edits etc.). This is a real CV that I use to upload to job boards and when I apply for roles, but be warned, this is highly custom CV that gives me what I am after, aims for specific types of clients, projects and fits my unique personality and approach, so if you wish to re-use, please adjust it to your own personal goals!

Microsoft BI Consultant and Developer
My CV focus is on my specialty, which is BI Consultant and Developer contract roles / projects. I have many other skills, but there are less relevant, so you will not see them on the CV as clarity and simplicity is more important for me.
There are other roles I mention like Analyst, Architect, Trainer, Manager, as this is who I am. This is a unique selling point of my CV, and this is exactly type of projects I enjoy most, so a win-win for me and the client, this also means I "reject" less relevant roles, as I know what I'm aiming for.
You will also see I specialize in just Microsoft BI tools and that gives me a certain advantage, as the CV is clean and matches my target BI projects, which are primarly based on Microsoft tools.
You will also see that my background is SQL Server BI Stack (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), and recently Azure (I use generic word here, to make it simpler for recruiters / client to understand). but as you will see the real focus of my CV is Microsoft Power BI Projects.
How does my CV work in practice?
I have tested my CV in a number of ways, and you should do the same of your own unique CV. In the future I will write an article that will describe in more details reasons behind each page, layout, element and even word.
